so sad

Today, i lost another chicken.

Genovieve just never came home.

Very sad.

I miss my birdie.

She trusted me the most and came running first when i came out with treats to eat out of my hand while the others would hang back.

Bye bye, Genny. I'll miss you.

    O no Beth....... I am so sorry...... How long till their henhouse is done?

    DadGummit! I hate that...... poor chicken...... She never came home TONIGHT after dark? Do your girls free range all day long? That is so cool but maybe you should lock these two darling up..

    I know you like the blond ones but in Cut n Shoot they are selling pullets for 1.50 on the side of the road...... and NO I DID NOT!

    no no no

    we're going to be picky about breed and get our babies from the same place we got the first ones....AFTER we have a real chicken coop finished. hopefully that will be mostly done by tomorrow - enough to put them inside. can never say for sure.
